Ghost of a racer

If only I’d listened to my mother, all this would not happen to me. It’s useless for me to regret now.
At about a year ago, I met a girl named Sarah. We met at a bar. My friend, Jack had introduced her to me. I liked Sarah. She was pretty, attractive, charming and friendly. I could see that all my friends and her friends liked her too.
Sarah, her friends, my friends and I always met at a park at night. It was the starting line of our illegal race. The races were very good. Sarah always encouraged me in the races and I always won the races. As I finished the races, she always waited for me at the stopping line.
Then, we went to the bar. The lost one would pay for all of us. We drank liquor, dancing together and singing laxly. At about 4.00 a.m. we went home. I always sent Sarah home. She too, didn’t want any other guy to send her home except me, her hero.
I was proud to be her boyfriend. Why I was so proud? Because we all knew that she was the prettiest among the girls. Everyday she told me that she loved me. Of course, I’d believe her. It was also because she chose me among all of my friends. Adi was handsome too. Daniel was a smart student and Boy was a rich businessman’s son. But she chose me. All the special things that I had were a pair of hand to accelerate my motorcycle.
Every morning, after sending Sarah home, I rode my motorcycle home. As I opened the door, mother would stare at me. She waited for me every night till the morning on the chair, my late father’s favorite chair. I thought that she was just wasting her time.
But my mother was my mother. She did her liability as such. When I wanted to get out, she always asked me my destination. Unluckily, I never answered her. I knew that she knew about my friends and all my activities every night.
She always advised me to stop all my bad activities. She gave me her advice almost every time when I with her. She told me that she always concerned of me. Of course she would concern about me very much as I was her only child, but I never aware that she too, was my only mother in this world. My father had passed away when I was still a kid. My mother had no siblings and relatives.
One night, as usual, I got out to the park. Before going out, I recognized that my mother was not on the chair as usual. Oh, she actually had a fever. The sky outside was too dark. Before going out, I went into my mother’s bedroom. My mother advised me not to go out. But I ignored her.
I felt nervous that night. As usual, Sarah held my hand before we started the race. As the race started, I accelerated my motorcycle as fast as I could. Then, something was wrong. I could not control my motorcycle. My motorcycle skidded by the roadside. My body was thrown on the sharp rocks. No one recognized me as they were too busy to win the race.
It was all the end of me. If only I’d listened to my mother’s advice that night, the accident would not happen. I lay alone on the rocks with my blood filled over my body. This time, all that I wanted very much were just two things. They were my beloved mother and my head!
